Cardboard packers should be installed between the door jamb and the leaf at the top corner, lock point and bottom corner of the lockset side of the door, with a cable tie holding the door and jamb together through the lock prep and striker hole.

In combination, the installation packers and cable tie are in place to keep the door and jamb evenly spaced and square throughout the installation process.

Please do not remove the packers or cable tie from the door until after the installation is complete. To remove the cable tie, simply cut it and feed it back through the striker hole.
