The Challenge
Crown Containers required a door solution that could handle high-frequency foot traffic from staff, media, and hospitality crews, while maintaining a high-quality appearance aligned with a global premium brand.
In addition, container modifications present a unique set of challenges, including maintaining structural integrity when creating openings, ensuring long-term durability in high-traffic environments, and meeting relevant compliance requirements. Larnec’s door systems are specifically designed to address these demands within steel-wall applications.
The Larnec Solution
Larnec supplied Sentry® 200 Series Container Doors, purpose-built for shipping container modifications and high-use environments.
The 200 Series is a dual-skin, fully steel-clad door system, pre-hung with a 4-sided jamb and flush lock, enabling fast, consistent installation across large-scale projects. Its design allows for efficient integration into steel container walls while maintaining structural integrity and reducing on-site labour time.
For this project, the 200 Series was selected for its ability to withstand heavy, continuous use while maintaining a clean, high-quality finish aligned with premium event environments. Features such as perimeter sealing, durable metal construction, and compliance with relevant wind and building standards ensured long-term performance in a high-traffic, outdoor setting.
Additionally, the product’s pre-hung format, reversible handing, and customisation options allowed Crown Containers to streamline installation across multiple units, supporting tight project timelines and consistent presentation across the venue.
